Crystal Spring

Prior to the mid-1800s, the springs here provided water to an Indian village for many years. In 1865, following nearby silver discoveries, Crystal Spring was established. When Lincoln County was created, Crystal Springs was the first county seat, though it was moved to Hiko less than a year later when the Governor learned that there weren't enough voters there. Crystal Spring only lasted five or six years, and nothing remains at the site other than the spring itself and a State Historic Marker.
