Buena Vista

[Not to be confused with Buena Vista in Esmeralda County]

Buena Vista was a recreation area, likely built around 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps to serve visitors to the new Valley of Fire State Park. Like the CCC Cabins near the park's main road, the two-room cabin appears to have been for overnight lodging, and both rooms are equipped with fireplaces.
