Walters

Walters station and siding along the Nevada Central Railroad, established in 1880 and named for nearby rancher William Walters. Walters soon became a popular recreational spot, with the weekend "Austin Picnic Train" bringing passengers from Austin to relax in grassy areas and play baseball at a diamond constructed there. By 1938, Walters was abandoned with the closure of the railroad, though the station house still stands.
