Moore's Station
Established by the Moore brothers during the early 1870s, Moore's Station was a stop on the stage road between Belmont, Tybo, and Eureka. In addition to building the fine stone stationhouse, they also dug a new reservoir and planted one of Nevada's first orchards. While nearby Morey was active, Moore's was also the primary shipping point for that camp. By the end of the century, however, stage activity ceased and Moore's has intermittently been used as a ranch since. The old stationhouse was restored in recent years, and remains private property. Permission must be obtained prior to visiting.
