Ullaine

J.M. Ward uncovered an attractive ledge of gold in 1906, and soon the camp of Ullaine - spelled also as Eullaine, Eulaine, or Ulaine - was born, taking its name from Ward's wife (though one unsubstantiated story claims that the unusual name came from a popular brand of kerosene at the time). Additional finds in 1908 seemed to indicate faith in Ullaine's longevity, but little mention of it was found after that, and by 1910 only the Wards remained.

A small revival took place between 1935 and 1940 when a small Straub mill was built. 200 tons of ore were recovered, amounting in a total of $3800 in gold and silver.
