Goldbanks
Gold was discovered by A.P. Smith in 1907, and for a while lessees worked the area. Met with little success, they soon moved on. Before the end of 1908, Goldbanks was abandoned. The area had some activity again from 1913 until the 1940s, when mercury was produced a few miles to the west. Little more than cans remain to mark the townsite.
