Spring Valley Station
(Stonehouse)

Spring Valley Station, also aptly known as Stonehouse, was used as a stop on the Overland Stage Route from 1861 until 1869. Later, it was used by the Woodruff and Ennor stage line. In addition to the fine stone house, extensive corrals and a horse barn were built (though the latter was destroyed by fire on April 25, 1870). After stages stopped running through the area, Stonehouse was used as a small ranch for a number of years.
