Sunkist
[Not to be confused with Sunkist in White Pine County]
Sunkist was a small ranching settlement that emerged at Duck Flat during the 1910s. At its peak, about fifty-eight families lived in the area and Sunkist had a post office, general store, and bar. The post office closed in 1919, and in 1920 the census showed a population of just 37. It finally disappeared from maps sometime in the 1920s.
